Sanders heads Lighthouse employee benefits arm

Lighthouse Group has appoin-ted Roger Sanders as managing director of the firm’s employee benefits division.
Sanders was most recently Helm Godfrey Partners deputy chairman and head of employee benefits and he will continue with his existing external roles, including being a non-executive director of the Financial Omb-udsman Service.
Sanders was awarded an OBE in 2002 for services to financial services regulation. He was non-executive director of the Pers-onal Investment Authority and worked with the Department for Work & Pensions on a number of projects, including a report on improving access to workplace advice. He also served on the committee that oversaw the industry Securities and Investment Board pensions review of 1994/98 and chaired the FSA’s smaller businesses panel from 1999-2004.
He was a founding member and director of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers and has served as the UK’s retail market representative on the practitioner sub-committee of the committee of European securities regulators in Paris between 2004-2009.
