PFS appoints Jon Everill and Garry Hale as directors
The Personal Finance Society has appointed Bluefin proposition director Jon Everill and HK Wealth Managers director Garry Hale as directors on its board.
This follows the announcement that Smith and Williamson Advisory Investment Service director Mike Fosberry has been appointed president and Zurich Intermediary Group chartered financial planner Eddie Grant as vice president.
Everill has spent 20 years in the industry and has worked for life companies and IFA distributors in varying senior roles.
In September 2003 he started Destini Financial Services Group. The business raised over £15m of capital and made 23 acquisitions of IFA and financial services businesses in two years before it merged with the Thinc Group in 2005.
Everill is currently responsible for developing, maintaining and aligning the Bluefin client propositions and oversees the group investment strategy.
Hale established HK Wealth Managers in 2001 as a fee-based financial planning practice.
He has been involved in the PFS since its formation in 2005, previously as chairman of the Central Scotland regional committee and in 2006 he become area liaison officer for Scotland.
PFS chief executive Fay Goddard says: “We are delighted to welcome Jon and Garry to the PFS board. They bring a wealth of experience and ahead of 2012 can offer valuable insight into the challenges facing the profession during the implementation of the RDR.
“Both have a clear appreciation for the value placed on standards of professionalism by consumers and we expect this knowledge to be key in restoring public confidence to the sector.”

Great. That's all we need. Someone with Bluefin, Destini and Thinc legacy as a director of our professional organisation. Why not try to get some old Allied Dunbar salesforce on there too.
