Perspective acquires Platinum Portfolios

IFA consolidation vehicle Perspective Financial Group has acquired Platinum Portfolios.

IFA firm Platinum Portfolios is based in Eastbourne, East Sussex and is the twelfth individual practice to become part of the Perspective Group.

The latest acquisition boosts Perspective’s annualised turnover to £12m with funds under advisory and management increasing to over £870m with a recurring income of £6.5m.

Platinum Portfolios is run by managing director Ian Blackburn alongside directors, Mark Taylor, Sue Towner and Paul Winder and has a turnover of approximately £1m per annum, with funds under management of £70m and £500,000 of recurring income.

It encompasses wealth management, transactional and trustee services and makes extensive use of platforms and wraps.

Perspective Financial Group managing director Damian Keeling says: “To have a firm such as Platinum join Perspective is a clear sign of our ambition to only acquire the best IFA firms in the country.  2009 has certainly been a busy year of acquisition for Perspective and the purchase of Platinum brings the number of Group companies up to 12.  There will be no further acquisitions before year end however we fully anticipate further acquisitions in the first few weeks of 2010.”
