Neil Liversidge elected to Aifa council

Aifa has elected West Riding Personal Finance Solutions managing director Neil Liversidge to the trade body’s governing council.
Liversidge says among his priorities during his tenure will be to win compromises from the FSA over the RDR and look to introduce a rule change to bring about the continuation of authorisation for advisers changing firms.
He also wants to prevent rogue claims management firms from operating in the industry.
Liversidge says: “I also want to achieve a common sense compromise on the RDR that will ensure access to advice for everyone, not just the rich.”
Liversidge was elected to the Aifa council on November 16 at the council’s annual general meeting.

You've certainly got the teeth, Neil. Hopefully, you've also got the balls to bring to AIFA's coffee-with-a-slice-of-sponge-cake mornings.
