IFP to host RDR conference

The Institute of Financial Planning is hosting a half day conference to help advisers that are concerned about how they will meet the RDR requirements.
Speakers include FSA sector manager David Geale, Henderson Global Investors chief economist Simon Ward and IFP chief executive Nick Cann.
The conference is free to members on a first-come, first-served basis. It takes place on September 8 at the offices of Henderson Global Investors, in Bishopsgate, London.
Cann says: “With the summer holidays almost over, there are now just over two years left for advisers to implement the proposals set out in the RDR. A number of further challenges around qualifications and gap filling amongst others have been set out over the summer, and it is clear that many advisers and firms will benefit from help to meet these.
“IFP is well placed to support financial planning businesses through this significant exercise and this event is an ideal way for us to demonstrate just how.”
