Dunfermline unveils IFA service

Dunfermline Building Society is to offer customers a whole-of-market, Independent Financial Advice service across its 34-branch network in Scotland.

The service, which Money Marketing revealed in January, runs through Nationwide Independent Financial Services Limited and will be available both in branch and on the telephone, via Dunfermline’s contact centre.

There will be twelve Independent Financial Advisers, all able to offer whole-of-market advice.

Nationwide distribution director of regional brands Martin Leong says: “We are pleased to confirm that Dunfermline customers are now able to benefit from Independent Financial Advice.”

“The new service better meets the needs of the Dunfermline’s customer base and will allow our customers the option of receiving a full financial review service.”

  • Lets hope they provide a better service than their peers, the reputation of Banking institutions providing financial advice is in tatters and accounts for the majority of complaints to the FSA

  • I heard that there are to push Legal & General products, also truly an IFA, i don't think so.

Get yourself an Independent Financial Adviser and not one through an institution.
