Carby Caerus Wealth duo are recruited by Openwork

Openwork has recruited two directors from Keith Carby’s new business Caerus Wealth Group.

Peter Smith and Mike Starkie will join Openwork as national development directors this month. They will work with the recruitment and development team and will be recruiting, training and inducting new advisers to the network.

The pair joined Caerus Wealth last September as area directors of business development. They previously worked at Personal Touch.

Caerus launched last summer and the firm has so far attracted 200 advisers.

Carby was chief executive of Openwork until July 2009 when he left due to tensions within senior management regarding the future management and ownership of the business.

Openwork chief executive Martin Davis says: “We have made significant strides to develop our business.”

Baronsworth Investment Services director Colin Jackson says: “It is no surprise with the RDR that networks are looking to build their adviser numbers.”

  • Good move by Openwork!

Obviously time to hit back at the 'competition' and headhunt their best people.

    Who's next? AF perhaps?
