Laverick: ‘Growth plans’

AWD Chase de Vere says it is looking to recruit at least 30 financial advisers this year, taking the firm’s total number of advisers past the 200 mark.

The firm says it has already begun its recruitment process across the UK and is also in discussions to acquire a number of client banks from advisers who do not want to remain in the industry following the retail distribution review.

Speaking to Money Marketing in 2009, AWD Chase de Vere marketing director Martyn Laverick revealed that the firm was re-evaluating recruitment targets as its sales managers were spending too much time out of the office when they could be working with existing advisers.

Earlier in 2009, the firm said it was looking to double its number of financial advisers in the next three years.

Laverick says: “We are a growing firm and want to increase adviser numbers to meet our growth plans for 2010 and beyond. We can offer new recruits a competitive contract, all the support they need to meet the challenges of the postRDR world and a market-leading client proposition.”
