Alico picks Kirsch as UK chief executive
Former AWD Chase de Vere chief executive Mike Kirsch has been appointed as Alico chief executive for UK and Ireland.
Kirsch left AWD Chase de Vere in March 2009 after a restructure. In April last year, he founded MTK Consultancy, an independent consultancy with a focus on retail financial services turn-rounds and business transformation.
In March, Metlife bought Alico in a deal worth more than £10bn. It is not yet clear if the Alico brand will remain when the deal completes later in the year.
Alico has just launched the Select Portfolio, which offers a range of investment and retirement options.
Alico chief executive for Western Europe Marc Sevestre says: “Alico UK and Ireland will benefit greatly from Mike’s vast range of experience, both on the provider and distributor side. This year has already proved to be extremely busy and Mike joins us at an exciting time.”
Stephen Kavanagh replaced Kirsch as chief executive at AWD Chase de Vere in December last year.
