Aifa announces start date for Stephen Gay

Incoming Aifa director general Stephen Gay will assume his new role at the trade body on December 1, 2010, Aifa has announced.
Gay (pictured), currently Aviva director of distribution development, was announced as the successor to Chris Cummings in September.
He will also be director general of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries and the Association of Finance Brokers.
He says: “I am looking forward to joining the organisation in December. Being closely involved in the intermediary profession I understand the many regulatory and economic pressures that members currently face.
“Members need the assertive representation they receive from AIFA, AMI and AFB. I am keen to build on this and ensure the interests of members are recognised where it counts.”

I wonder if he will have any members left by the time he joins and how many fewer there might be by Jan 2013?
Still 10,000 members x £300 per member per annum
